Trails On Falls, your local 3rd generation jeweler, first opened its doors in 1919. Philip Sr. and Frank Sandberg, brothers, started on Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago, next to the Portage Theater. Movies were the entertainment of the day. Ironically, Trails On Falls is again operating in close proximity with a movie theater right here in Village Crossing. Sandberg on Milwaukee would provide service to customers lining up to enter the theater. With streetcars rumbling up and down Milwaukee, the business thrived and the world changed.
